        Topic

How Clinical Research Should Be Conducted in the New Era.

        Overview

The REACTA (Regional Asian Clinical Trial Annual) Forum is an academic conference launched in 2013 with the aim of promoting clinical research collaboration across Asia, led by universities and government agencies from four East Asian countries that form the REACTA alliance. Since its inception, the forum has been held annually on a rotating basis by Dong-A University, Taipei Medical University, the Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM), and Chiba University.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person meetings had been suspended for some time. However, this year, our institution is honored to serve as the host once again after a four-year interval, welcoming participants from both domestic and international institutions.

The theme of this year’s forum is “The Future of Clinical Research in a New Era.” Alongside the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the GCP Renovation initiative and rapid advances in information technology are significantly transforming how clinical trials are conducted. Amid these dynamic changes, the academic role is also evolving through a more horizontally collaborative model.

To address these developments, the forum invites speakers from academia, industry, and regulatory authorities to discuss the future landscape and direction of clinical research in this new era.
