REACTA Virtual Forum 2021 & TMU Clinical Trial Alliance Conference
Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the event was held in a hybrid format, combining both in-person and online participation. Over 20 experts with outstanding experience and achievements in clinical trials from South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries were invited as speakers. Domestic scholars also joined the event to engage in discussions, which sparked many potential collaborations in clinical trials.

The REACTA Forum 2019 in Chiba
At the 2019 REACTA Forum in Japan, the network convened to explore key themes shaping the future of clinical research in Asia. Twenty leading experts shared insights on five emerging topics, including regenerative medicine, clinical strategies in Asia, and diseases specific to the region. The forum also featured proposals to advance investigator-initiated registry trials targeting conditions prevalent across Asia. This gathering marked a pivotal moment in strengthening REACTA’s commitment to cross-border collaboration and clinical trial innovation.

Advancement in precision medicine - the challenges and opportunities in this promising sector and updates in clinical research
The 2017 Regional Asian Clinical Trial Association (REACTA) conference was held in Malaysia from September 27 to 29. Taipei Medical University (TMU) was represented by Dr. Hsien-Ying Sung, Deputy Director of the Joint Clinical Trial Center, and Dr. Kuan-Chou Chen, Director of the Institute of Clinical Medicine. The conference mainly discussed the clinical trial development experiences of member countries over the past four to five years, and it was hoped that from this year onward, there would be greater collaboration on multi-country, multi-center physician-initiated clinical trials (PI-initiated Trials, IITs).
